Happy FRI-YAY!!!
This morning we went to Colellos Farm Stand Produce and everyone got to pick out their favorite fruit to bring back to make a “Friend Fruit Salad”!!!
Lately we have been working so hard on learning to be a nice, kind friend to each other- as we end the summer and enter the first few weeks of school here soon!
This is a wonderful community building activity that you can refer to all year round!
The bowl represents our classroom/community.
The cool-whip represents the glue that holds the class/community together.
Our fruits represents: kindness, caring, hard work, sharing, hugs, smiles, kind hands, respect, helping others, love, friendship, listening to others, paying attention to others, gentleness, thinking of others first, giving, patience, good manners, thoughtfulness, polite words, thankfulness and various other elements that make a "Happy Friend Fruit Salad Community." & sprinkles are the happiness on top-because there’s always rm for fun!!
This is such a delicious way to demonstrate how our special individuality’s can combine with others' characteristics to make a strong community. Just like when the fruit comes together in the bowl it makes a wonderful salad, we can come together in our classroom to make it a wonderful place to be!
