My name is Arsany Attia and I’m running for Secretary. I am currently a quarter six student representative for class 241. I have been an active member on campus since my second quarter, which enabled me to learn how to manage my time and be very skilled in organization. I am passionate about being involved in school activities as my education progress. I am thoroughly capable of handling the responsibility that is given to me and I want to ensure that everyone is properly informed and is taking advantage of every opportunity provided by the school. As a student representative, I am aware of how the meetings work, the different tasks that are dutifully performed by the present secretary, and the amount of responsibility that does go into making the student government a success.
Additionally, I also held the treasurer position for the Coptic Club at Brooklyn college as an undergraduate student. As a treasurer, I maintained the annual budget for the club as well as planning events for fundraising. I also managed all the funds and made sure it was used in accordance with all regulations. I plan to use all the skills that I learned through my experiences and past positions to incorporate in this position and make sure that all communications are documented and available for all members. If chosen for the job of secretary, my goal will be to help the club run more efficiently. In addition to performing traditional secretarial duties such as taking minutes, organizing club activities, and maintaining membership records. I also intend to help other members to brainstorm and organize successful projects that meet the needs of students and benefit all members. I understand the extent of my responsibilities as a club secretary, and I am fully prepared to do whatever it takes to fulfill my duties. I look forward to working with the other executive officers.

My name is Sarah Garvin. I am currently in quarter 7, and I recently took Part 1 NBCE boards exam. I am from a small town in Mississippi called Hamilton. I was introduced to chiropractic after a knee injury from playing college basketball. Chiropractic care has kept me from having surgery, and my goal is to help not only athletes but all ages to continue to do their daily living activities. After I was exposed to Palmer for a few months, I decided to run for class representative for class 234. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have served for a year this coming June and learned the duties of every executive officer. I have seen how COVID has affected the student body and the way of learning at Palmer which is why I am running for First Vice-President. I am the next upcoming representative who will be graduating into clinic within 3 months. I will be an excellent voice for the students in clinic and also the academics as well. My goal as an executive officer is make it easier for students to communicate and voice their opinions on how to improve our education and experience at Palmer. I believe the students in the academic side of Palmer do not have a full understanding of the transition into clinic, and I would like to change that. I have a complete understanding that if the president is absence, as first Vice-President I will assume the chair. With that being said, my vision is to help change the view of student council due to the downfall of COVID. Student Council should be a top priority of the student body. We are not only a voice for the student body, but we are also a committee with the responsibility to show students the positivity and reason we are all here which is to graduate to become awesome doctors who help heal people. I believe this statement has become overlooked after COVID, and I would like to change this which is why I am running for First Vice-President.

My name is Nikita Patel, and I am currently a Quarter 8 student! I would love the opportunity to be your next student council President! For those of you that don’t know me, I am originally from New Jersey, but I moved to Florida to complete my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida – Go Knights! After being a student at Palmer I grew an appreciation for the field of chiropractic medicine and wanted to be as involved as I could with the profession itself as well as the college and student body. The learning environment and the friends and colleagues that I have made throughout my time here so far has aspired me to run for this position as I know there are things that need to change with respect to student life. I want to be the person that any student can look to or approach in the hall to ask me anything on their mind without being judged and with hopes that I will take that information and put it into action. I am very student-oriented and promise to push for a better student life experience here at Palmer. I am aware that COVID has put a damper on both moral and student life, but now with mandates being lifted, I have a lot of ideas that I would love to implement to make the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd year at Palmer memorable and one to never forget! We missed a lot of opportunities for student council to plan events and for the students to get involved so I’m excited to bring that back! Lastly, I know many of you don’t know who I am or the members of student council for that matter so I hope to make an effort to develop more meaningful interactions between students and student council so you all can feel more comfortable reaching out to us with any of your concerns! As president I would ensure the student council runs efficiently. I am confident that I have attributes that align with the roles and responsibilities of the President such as maintaining order, delegating tasks, and organizational skills. Overall, I’m determined, driven and just want to have fun and make memories with all of you throughout the next 3 1/2 years of school!

I am running for Student Council Executive Council’s President position because I believe the qualities of what this position entails are everything I encompass- organization, selflessness, communication, approachability, and conviction. The role of the president is essential to bridging the gap between the student body and administration. One of my main goals as president is to ensure the student body and faculty feel comfortable and confident in approaching me with any concerns they may have. It takes a collaborative effort to create a successful community and an even stronger commitment to help achieve unity through leadership. I will aim to be a confident leader and make educated decisions in everything I do, I understand the importance of a collaborative setting and the benefits that come from incorporating different perspectives. I envision using my seat in the position as Student Council President to create an environment that fosters growth and interpersonal relationships between students and administration. I truly enjoy being a spokesperson for student council, helping organize and plan events, address concerns, and show appreciation on behalf of our program. I have the capabilities and leadership qualities which are an essential component for the role of president as well as for both personal and professional growth. For the past two years, I have served as my class representative and then as Executive Council Secretary and I want to keep expanding my experience and knowledge of leading a team. In my current role, I take pride in my response for student concerns or questions to our email account, I keep track of all correspondences from meetings as well. I organized our annual Canned Food Drive which we broke the record of most canned food donated, reaching over 14,000 cans. This past year, I was eager to take on additional responsibilities to my role due to a vacancy in one of the executive positions. In doing so, I helped the current president in a more administrative capacity organizing student Olympic’s events, administration meetings and social media content. If chosen for this position, I will dedicate my time and effort to close the gap and bring students and administration together by supporting and strengthening student representation on campus. At the same time, I will work closely with the administration to make the necessary changes that will lead to the students’ ability to have their voices heard and be provided more opportunities to succeed and grow.
