THANKSGIVING TURKEY CLASS

MONDAY November 23rd (the Monday before Thanksgiving)

Two groups: One at 10am and one at 1pm

We have 11 spots available- first come first serve- the spots are PER BIRD not per person! 2 people are permitted per bird.

$100 and you take home a free range Thanksgiving turkey ready for the oven 🦃

Lots of changes around here lately! Smores and Sycamore went to their new loving homes. Hamburger is staying, and for that reason he met the ba**er today 🥜 Sweet Tart is also staying.

We got a shipment of turkeys in today! Some are heritage poults and may be available as pets later in the season. Some are broad breasted and will be offered in November at our Thanksgiving processing class. If you want to harvest your own butterball, mark your calendars for that event.

The rabbits are all growing and I will have SEVEN TAMUK bucklings available in 2 weeks. Burp is also the proud mama of 10 new babies born yesterday.

Summer is here in full swing but we are loving it!

CHICKENS 101 with the OG chicken lady!

June 19th from 10:30-12: This class will focus on the basics of obtaining chickens, raising chicks, keeping a backyard flock, and everything in between.

Sign up via comment or DM. Price for the class is $25, with discounts available for multiple family members. Appropriate for 5+.

The second peachick of the season, hatched from our very own peafowl!

We have several more eggs set that we obtained from a breeder. There’s a 25% chance of white with those eggs- wish us good fortune!

UF IFAS Volusia County Extension chose us as a host site for an equine manure composting grant that provided us with a gorgeous, custom built, 3-component compost bin. In exchange for their generosity, we hosted them for a very fun and informative event earlier today! The Equine Field day was a joy to attend. We are so excited to teach and host future classes with this amazing piece of construction. Thank you so much to UF IFAS!
