Hop on aboard the AJ Meerwald, New Jersey's state tall boat!

This historic oyster schooner has been through many lives, oyster schooner, World War II fire board, stuck in a port for years, but now is sailing once again in the name of history and education.

And, the AJ Meerwald is coming to Cape May, where you can join the crew and sail the waters of the cape.

Guess whose back? The AJ Meerwald!

Back in her home waters and in Cape May just in time for the Fourth of July season. And what better way to spend the warm summer days than sailing the Delaware on a piece of New Jersey's history!

Tickets are available for purchase on the AJ Meerwald's website. Sails depart from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal.

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race may be a friendly competition, but every dollar raised for Team Meerwald supports something very real. 💙

It helps us continue caring for the A.J. Meerwald, New Jersey’s Official Tall Ship, and keeps her sailing as a place where people can experience our maritime history, learn about the Delaware Bay, and make memories on the water.

It supports the work happening beyond the ship, too! From education and public programs to preserving and sharing the stories of the Bayshore.
