π First Day of School at TMS!
The first day of school is tomorrow, and we are excited to welcome your students to Travis Middle School! We know the first few days of middle school can bring a lot of nerves and questions, but our goal is to make sure every student feels welcomed and set for success.
During the first week, our staff will be focused on helping students:
Feel welcomed as they enter TMS each morning.
Find their classrooms β staff will be throughout the building helping students get where they need to go.
Understand their schedules and where each class is located.
Another schedule will be available first thing in the morning in case one was lost or not picked up.
IDs will be handed out during 1st period.
Learn our daily routines and expectations without worrying about having everything figured out on Day 1.
We will review expectations throughout the day.
Navigate lunch, passing periods, and other new routines that may be unfamiliar.
Lunch is free of charge this year.
Afternoon snack will be provided beginning Monday 8/17/2026.
There will be snack line chips and other snacks provided this year. More information to come soon.
Find their place at TMS and begin building connections with their classmates and staff.
Parents, please remind your student that it is okay to ask for help! Our team will be visible and ready to assist throughout the week. We know it takes time to learn a new schedule, a new building, and new routines.
We are ready for a great first day and an even better year. Every student grows every day β academically, socially, and personally!
