February would mark Tri-State Historical Fencing’s 10 year Anniversary!!
Our journey started in Port Jervis NY at Riverside Park and over the next 10 years saw over 250 different faces don a fencing mask, and pick up a sword.
We travelled all over the US competing, learning, and making new friends!
It is with a heavy heart that I have I to announce that we are Closing Our Doors☹️
For anyone local that’s interested in HEMA I would like to recommend Spada Kai near Scranton PA, run by our own Joe Stoffey. New Jersey Historical Fencing has a great program in Sussex County NJ as well. Don’t forget that you can always contact a former club member and meet up with at the park
I want to tell everyone that supported our club, through being a member or attending any of our Equestrian Events that we truly appreciate the time we spent together.
I want to give a special thanks to Ben Zemaitis for working so hard to bring Bolognese Fencing to our program, and ultimately running the club for two years after I moved to Charlotte NC. Lester Murphy for teaching us about horses, and David Martz for sharing his martial arts knowledge. A big “shout out” to Joe Stoffey for achieving his own program, and Ryan Russek as our top medal winner!
This is a short post so I’m not going tag anyone, but I do remember every single person that trained at Tri-State. Thank you all for sharing your time with us!!!!
