Faith
Grounded in the awareness of my divinity, my faith is pure.
Thursday August 6, 2026
Unity cofounder Myrtle Fillmore lived her faith with remarkable clarity and steadfastness. Her trust in the healing, prospering power of God never wavered. She shared this trust in letters, prayers, and gentle reminders of each person’s divine identity. The “Prayer of Faith,” one of Myrtle’s favorites, expresses it beautifully: “All things I am, can do, and be, through Christ the Truth, that is in me.”
Written by Hannah More Kohaus, the poem was published by Myrtle in Wee Wisdom® magazine in 1898. Myrtle embodied the truth that the Divine within makes all things possible, and her presence helped others awaken to their own divine nature. I follow Myrtle’s lead. My presence uplifts and empowers. I honor others’ wholeness and celebrate their brilliance.
For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.—Galatians 3:26

ANCHORED IN SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING
August 6, 2026
Anchors, when dropped, ensure that the boat does not float away from the dock, and out to sea. Where is your anchor when it comes to spiritual understanding? The Revealing Word (RW) defines understanding as being aware that “God is supreme knowing”. It further states: “that in man which comprehends is understanding”, and “Spiritual discernment reveals that knowledge and intelligence are auxiliary to understanding.” Understand that it is a package deal.
When we follow the guidance of Spirit it is like having an anchor within our being. Remember not to allow the intellect to lift the anchor; stay connected to Spirit. Intellect is needed in the beginning of our search for Truth. However, when we come into the realization of the wisdom and power we are attaining, it is important that we do not try to use this wisdom and power for selfish outcomes. We must stay anchored in Spirit and allow Spirit to guide the intellect. So, keep your thoughts and feelings anchored in the presence of God, firmly locked into, and connected to Spirit.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…”

Each morning when I wake, I choose positivity. With joy in my heart and a prayer of gratitude on my lips, I am ready to begin the day.
Delays and defeats do not dim my positivity. I take these developments in stride, trusting divine order and divine timing are at work. Affirming this truth, I go forward with positive thoughts and a calm bearing.
My upbeat, optimistic nature carries me through the day. I am pleasant in all my interactions, patient when I must wait, and understanding if I feel frustrated.
I end the day with positivity, joy, and deep gratitude before I close my eyes at night.
I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery.—Colossians 2:2

Thank to everyone that assisted in making this event a success.
On Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, neighborhoods throughout the City of Port Huron are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 42nd Annual National Night Out. On that night, we will join over 35 million people in more than 11,000 communities to promote police-community partnerships, crime, drug and violence prevention; safety and neighborhood unity.
National Night Out is designed to:
(1) heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
(2) generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts;
(3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships; and
(4) send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
This is a time for us to stand together to promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity to build a safer community and nation. You are invited to join us at the church 2912 25th Street Port Huron, MI 48060 from 5-8pm for fun, food and fellowship.

Sometimes my thoughts run amok. I may struggle to settle my mind, especially if I am worried or troubled about the state of my life or the state of the world.
I may sometimes feel as though I have no control over my thoughts, but the truth is I always have a choice. I remind myself I choose my thoughts—their quality, quantity, and character. A timeless spiritual law reminds me that thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. Good thoughts bear good fruit.
Today I set my mind on Spirit and divine ideas such as peace, love, joy, abundance, grace, and more. Setting aside the troubles of the world and my attachment to them brings me peace. As I think life-affirming thoughts, I am inspired to put those positive thoughts to use.
Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.—Colossians 3:2

GO HIGHER
July 7, 2026
The patterns in our lives that repeat themselves are a signal that it is time for us to understand God on a higher level. When your life features the same perceived challenges with health, relationships, and wealth, it is a call for you to go higher in your understanding of God.
God is whole, perfect, and complete, which means you, as the one who has your being in God, are whole, perfect, and complete. Place your undivided attention on the wholeness that lives within, instead of on the present seeming gaps in your body, inner circle, and/or bank accounts. Feel into the perfection that you are, instead of ruminating on the seeming imperfections based on past error thoughts or actions.
Now, move in a state of completeness, instead of wandering and wondering if your future needs and desires will be fulfilled. Your persistent and consistent thoughts, feelings, and actions rooted in the true nature of God are the path to higher understanding and a higher level of living.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart maybe enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches…of His inheritance…” Proverbs 16:3 ESV
