School is almost back, which means it’s time to squeeze in ONE LAST BIG SUMMER CELEBRATION! 🧡🖤

PEPO is excited to support the Port Palooza Block Party this Saturday! Bring the whole family, grab your neighbors, and come enjoy an afternoon and evening full of fun, food, music, and a little friendly competition! 🙌

🏆 Family Olympics

And if your family is feeling competitive, sign up for the Family Olympics and take on your fellow Port Edwards families in the relay race, potato sack race, and water bucket challenge! 🏃🥔💦

There’s also a PIE-EATING CONTEST with ONLY 6 spots available, so make sure to register ahead of time if you want a chance to compete! 🥧😋

📚 And don’t forget to kick off the afternoon with Story Time with Kathy McGrath from 3:00–4:00 PM in the El Café Event Room!

🎉 What an amazing way to wrap up the school year!

This year was nothing short of incredible, and we can't thank the Port Edwards families and community enough for their continued support. PEPO simply couldn't provide so many wonderful experiences for our elementary students without all of you.

Our end-of-year carnival was a huge success! Students enjoyed an afternoon filled with lunch outside, crafts, bounce houses, a dunk tank, obstacle courses, carnival games, and so many smiles.

A special thank you to:
-Village of Port Edwards Fire Department for filling the dunk tank
- Hoffman's Jump 4 Joy LLC for their outstanding service and rentals
-The Home Depot for donating craft supplies
-Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Baseball Club for lending their inflatable pitching game
-Our amazing parents, grandparents, staff, and volunteers who generously gave their time

It truly takes a village, and our students are fortunate to be surrounded by such a caring and supportive community. Thank you for helping make this school year so memorable. We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to another fantastic year ahead!

On Wednesday night, the Port Edwards Parents Organization was honored to present our very first PEPO Senior Scholarship Award! 🧡🖤

This scholarship was created for graduating seniors who have been part of the Port Edwards School District for many years and will be continuing on to post-secondary education. As part of the application, students were also asked to reflect on their favorite memories from Port Edwards Ed Heuer Elementary.

PEPO has supported these students since their elementary school days, and we wanted this scholarship to come full circle by continuing that support as they take their next steps beyond high school. In our small Blackhawk community, we truly are like family, always supporting and encouraging one another through every stage of life.

We had four outstanding applicants this year, and we are incredibly proud of each student for their hard work, accomplishments, leadership, and dedication to both their school and community.

Congratulations to our first-ever PEPO Scholarship recipient, Joey Doebereiner!

Joey was selected for embodying the Blackhawk spirit through leadership, service, and dedication to younger Blackhawks. Through National Honor Society, tutoring younger students, community service projects, and the Blackhawk Buddies program, Joey has made a meaningful impact within our school and community.

Congratulations again, Joey! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all you accomplish in the future. 🎓

🎪 PEPO Carnival Wish List Help 🎪

Our Elementary school carnival is coming up soon, and we’re working hard to make it an unforgettable afternoon for all of our little Blackhawks! 🧡🖤

Take a look at some highlights from the carnival last year!!

This year we’ve put together an Amazon Wish List filled with carnival prizes, small goodies, and a few larger items to help make the day extra special for our students. Every donation, big or small, helps add a little more excitement and fun to the event as we keep making it better and better each year! We try to change it up each year just a little bit to have something new and exciting for the students!

We are also looking to borrow a few canopy tents for the craft area so we can keep the students in the shade if anyone is willing! Along with short sided boxes to carry and store the crafts in while they dry. (We would not need any of this until the day of)

A few items we are especially hoping to receive are the wooden snakes OR the plastic paintable pots craft projects, as we need about 70 more of those types of crafts so every student has one; and some of the little paints to go with them! 🐍🪴🌷

Students without yearbooks will still be included and will receive an autograph page and pen during yearbook signing time so EVERYONE gets to participate!! ✍️✨

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to support our students, staff, and school community. Your generosity, encouragement, and willingness to jump in and help make these events possible means more than you know. We truly couldn’t do it without you!
