CMP to Award $1 Million in Scholarships to High School and College Student-Athletes in 2027

The CMP is proud to again present up to $1 Million in scholarships to outstanding athletes involved in marksmanship activities, in support of continued education and personal growth for the next generation. For the 2025-2026 school year, 300 scholarships were awarded.

CMP Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and dedication to the sport, regardless of discipline.

Though the CMP’s Scholarship Program has provided thousands in funds to youth over the past few decades, in 2025, CMP leadership decided to increase the allotted scholarships to more than $1 million to deserving students.

NEW FOR 2027: In addition to its established scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, the CMP is expanding scholarship opportunities to include students currently enrolled in college who have continued participating in marksmanship competitions – reserving 10, $5,000 scholarships for college students.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program invites all juniors to participate in the annual Gary Anderson Invitational, taking place from November 12-14 at CMP's Competition Centers in Ohio and Alabama, as well as select locations nationwide!

This event offers a unique opportunity for schools, clubs and individuals to gain valuable competition experience in a 3x20 course of fire.

TEAM WINNING SOLUTIONS CLINIC - THIS FRIDAY!

If you're in the Port Clinton area for this Saturday's Monthly Matches at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center, consider signing up for an informational one-on-one clinic with members of Team Winning Solutions, including Olympic silver medalist, Lucas Kozeniesky!

Training is designed to enhance skills, match preparedness and finals tactics. Each session (held each month prior to the Monthly Matches) features a unique theme, with new games and drills to keep training fresh and challenging.

The next session is set for Friday, Oct. 16, from 3–7 p.m. Please arrive 30 minutes before start time.

There will also be a lecture 30 minutes after the finals/awards for the match on Saturday.

Cost is $25 for Friday and free for TWS members!

Yesterday was Vintage Sniper Day during the 2026 Western Games at the Ben Avery Facility in Phoenix!

The last rain showers are moving out of the area, with a bright, sunny forecast for the remainder of the schedule 😎
