Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

As we honor this important day in our nation’s history, we reflect on the value of culture, inclusion, and respect for all.

One of our Wheeler School associates, Deon Lucas, tearfully said goodbye to a senior student who she’s grown close to over the last 4 years 🥹

This is a good reminder that the people who shape a school community aren’t only in the classroom and the strongest connections are built through everyday moments, shared smiles, and simple acts of care ❤️

🎓✨ Meet Grace Cruz, a junior at Cristo Rey Brooklyn HS who spent the past year interning with CulinArt through the school’s Corporate Work Study Program.

One day each week, Grace gained hands-on experience across Marketing, HR, Culinary Development, Wellness & Sustainability, Finance, and Operations.

From supporting wellness events at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to working alongside culinary and café teams at the United Nations Headquarters, Grace explored the many career paths within foodservice.

“CulinArt inspired me to keep an open mind to the endless career possibilities for my future and taught me that no matter where I end up, there is always something new for me to learn.”

Congratulations to CulinArt’s Lindsey Romain, Executive Chef at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, on being selected for Compass Group’s Global Culinary Leadership Program! 👏🌎

Chosen as one of just eight participants worldwide, and one of only two from the U.S., Lindsey will take part in a nine-month leadership development program in partnership with Harvard Business School, designed to prepare the next generation of operational leaders.

Since joining CulinArt in 2015, Lindsey has continued to grow and inspire through her leadership, talent, and passion for culinary excellence.

We’re proud to celebrate this incredible achievement and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes! ✨

The CulinArt team at St. Francis Preparatory School recently hosted the school’s annual President’s Dinner, welcoming more than 150 donors for an evening of gratitude and celebration. ✨

The transformed library created an elegant setting for guests to enjoy a refined menu prepared by the talented culinary team and CulinArt Catering Collection chefs. The event’s success was made possible through the collaboration of more than 28 dedicated staff members and partners.

Special thanks to Director of Dining Services Nick Cadmus, Assistant Manager Juanita Serrano, Operations Manager Dorothy Alexatos, Sous Chef Mauricio Cumba, and the entire team for delivering an outstanding experience that earned rave reviews from attendees. 👏

As part of FSC Week, students honored our amazing CulinArt and housekeeping staffs. We began with morning prayer, recognizing each staff member by name, and presented them with a personal card and gift.

We are truly blessed to have such dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to keep our community well fed and our campus spotless.
