A copy of Mrs. Elek's Parent Square message...
Dear Meadow Park Families,
I want to share some bittersweet news with our Gator family. After nine wonderful years at Meadow Park, my husband and I have made the difficult decision to move our family out of state, and I will be leaving my position here as principal. I know the timing is not ideal, especially so soon after the start of the school year, and I sincerely apologize for that. An opportunity presented itself, and this is a decision my husband and I made for our family. While we are excited about what lies ahead, saying goodbye to MPE is going to be incredibly hard.
There truly arenโt words to express how much this school community has meant to me. Iโve had the privilege of watching so many of your children grow up within these wallsโsome from their very first days of elementary school through fifth-grade promotion. I have loved getting to know your families, celebrating your childrenโs successes, supporting them through challenges, and partnering with you along the way. Our PTO events, student-led conferences, Breakfasts with Santa, our annual carnival, and so many other times have made my tenure here incredibly memorable. Meadow Park has been such a huge part of my life these past 9 years, and leaving is going to be incredibly hard, but my family needs this right now.
I am very happy to share that Ms. Radaszewski will be stepping up to serve as Interim Principal. I have complete confidence in her as she steps into this role. She has worked right beside me throughout the summer and the beginning of this school year, and she has already fallen in love with our school, our students, and this community. I know she will lead MPE with tremendous care and will continue putting our students first.
Thank you for trusting me with your children and for allowing me to be part of your familiesโ lives. It has truly been one of the greatest privileges of my career to "KNOW our kids and GROW our kids, ALL of them". My last day will be this Friday as I prepare to get my family transitioned up North to start a new school year up there. Iโm excited to continue loving your children for these next few days. Thanks again for everything! I will miss you all deeply.
