Charlotte County Public Schools has named MaryClaire Radaszewski interim principal of Meadow Park Elementary School, effective Aug. 24.

Radaszewski currently serves as Meadow Park’s assistant principal and brings extensive experience in education and school leadership at both the elementary and secondary levels. Her familiarity with the work already underway at Meadow Park will help provide a smooth transition for students, staff and families.

She will step into the role as Principal Lauren Elek prepares to relocate out of state with her family. We thank Mrs. Elek for her leadership and service to Meadow Park and wish her and her family all the best in their next chapter.

Charlotte County Public Schools invites parents, staff and community members to attend an upcoming Town Hall Meeting featuring district updates from Superintendent Mark Vianello and information about the upcoming referendum from Vote Yes! For Success Campaign Manager Marcia Cullinan.

High school juniors and seniors: Applications are now open for the 2026 Junior Commission program!

Students enrolled in Charlotte County Public Schools or an accredited home school program can get a firsthand look at how local government works.
Junior Commissioners will meet county commissioners, tour county facilities, attend commission meetings, pre-agenda meetings, workshops and code enforcement hearings, and wrap up the program by hosting their own Junior Commission mock meeting.
Interested in learning more about local government and how decisions are made in Charlotte County?

📅 Applications are due Aug. 21.
