The first Health & Science Building commemorative bricks are in!
This week, Brent Rozell and Yolanda Piedras placed the inaugural bricks in the plaza along Procter Street on the LSCPA campus in Port Arthur. These are the first of dozens that will be installed over the coming weeks.

LSCPA President Dr. Betty Reynard and Texas Higher Education Commissioner Dr. Wynn Rosser took a moment for a photo at the recent Trellis Foundation Modern Learner Summit in Austin, an event that brought together leaders and partners from across the state to focus on the future of higher education.
For LSCPA, the moment was especially meaningful. Dr. Rosser, in his former role as president and CEO of the T.L.L. Temple Foundation, worked closely with the college to expand opportunities for students and families in Southeast Texas. Now, as Commissioner of Higher Education, Dr. Rosser continues to champion initiatives that align with LSCPA’s mission: making higher education accessible, workforce-driven, and transformative for every student.

This year’s event was the biggest and most successful in the history of the tournament, bringing together more anglers, more community support, and more excitement than ever before. From the Captain’s Dinner to the final weigh-in, the energy on and off the water was unforgettable.
