Village Kidz participates in Texas Rising Star, Texas' quality rating and improvement system for child-care programs. Texas Rising Star participation reflects our commitment to continually strengthening the quality of care and learning we provide to children and families.

💰 HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT TEXAS EDUCATION FREEDOM ACCOUNTS?
Texas' Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) give eligible families the opportunity to use state-provided education funds for approved educational expenses. Odyssey serves as the certified educational assistance organization helping administer the program. For the 2026–27 school year, approved private-school/pre-K participants may receive funding based on the program's eligibility and award rules. Families must meet the program's requirements, and funding is not automatic simply because a child attends an eligible provider.

Have you ever noticed a child suddenly go from calm to overwhelmed with no obvious warning?

Sometimes the signs were there long before the meltdown, shutdown, or tears. The challenge is that the child didn’t notice them.

Interoception is often called our “hidden sense” because it helps us recognise what’s happening inside our bodies. It tells us when we’re hungry, thirsty, tired, uncomfortable, excited, worried, or beginning to feel overwhelmed. When interoception is difficult, children may miss these early body signals, making emotional regulation much harder.
