We are excited to announce that we will be taking our Fall 2022 production of GIDION’S KNOT to competition in the Spring! LSCPA’s Theatre Program will be competing in the 2023 Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Association’s annual festival, held next February at the University of North Texas in Denton. As the Spring semester comes to a close we would like to share our collaboration performance in the Commercial Music Visual and Performing Arts Department. The Voice for the Actor (DRAM 2336) students prepared monologues for the Grand Finale: Music & Monologue show for the April 29th performance.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Watch "Sorry, Wrong Number" performed Fall 2020 during the pandemic. We were able to perform practicing safe social distancing by staging choices this 1940s radio play script. The audience entered the "Radio Studio" hearing 1940s music and the music show ended with live singers. Then the Suspense Hour started. Sound effects of the phone rings and busy signal were performed from the light booth, but all other sound effects were folio sounds ( created off stage by performers).

Theater is Alive and Well at LSCPA!!! Art shows, Concerts, Drama will be going on this spring! We will continue to practice safe social distancing and limited attendance -- but our students will grow as performers and artists!!!

New to LSCPA stage is Dale Bolton also from Livingston, Texas. Dale brings two characters to life on stage and runs the folio sound effects off stage. Here he is as the long suffering husband Elbert Stephenson.

New to LSCPA stage is drama major Taylor Babino from Port Arthur, Texas. She plays the phone operator who is caught right in the middle of all the intrigue and miscommunications! Yes, she is using original 1940s phone equipment!!!

Multi-tasking does not even begin to describe what sophomore, Brady Raggio is doing in this show!! He is the light board operator, sound operator, Station Announcer, Chief Operator voice, and the voice of Henchley Hospital Nurse Registry!!! He brings distinct vocal variety to each and every role.

Sophomore Colin Londenberg is showing his versatility in this show by playing 3 different roles: The man in black radio announcer, murder for hire boss, and Western Union messenger. Talk about multi-tasking!!
