TWO SISTERS CRAFTS MN. CLASSES - JELM 2017

We are looking forward to seeing returning "students" and meeting new "students" in 2017. Our classes offer everyone an opportunity to learn a new craft while meeting new people from all over the US and Canada. Remember the cost of the class includes all supplies. Classes tend to fill up fast, so a description of each class and a picture of samples can be found below. Register for classes at the JELM or through the activity guide sent out recently from the JELM.

January 5 2017: Metallic Plastic (Cost $6.00): We are bringing back this popular class from 2015. In this class, students will use metallic plastic to design a free-form pendant. Students will also design a stained-glass pendant using a bezel and pieces of metallic plastic [Max. 30 students]. Please see samples below:

January 12 and 19, 2017 (Two Week Class): Polymer Clay (Cost $10.00): In this two week class, students will learn how to work with the medium of polymer clay without investing in the expense of an extruder, a clay conditioning machine and various tools used in creating polymer clay works of art. Students will work with polymer clay designing a free form rose along with other pieces of jewelry. Working with various tools, students will create a polymer clay cane which will be used in designing a bezel. [Max. 16 students]. See samples below.

January 26, 2017: Fingernail Polish Metal Ring, Wood Chip Pendants and a Wine Glass (Cost $6.00): Fingernail polish has many more uses than just for our nails. In this class we will be using metal, wood and glass to design pendants and our own personal wine glass. Some basic wire wrapping will also be taught in this class (i.e. how to make a free-form bail, an Egyptian coil etc.) [Max. 24 students] Please see samples below.

February 2 and February 9, 2017 (Two Week Class): Alcohol Ink Class (Cost $12.00): During this two week class, we will be working with alcohol ink. BECAUSE THIS MAY BE A MESSIER CLASS THAN WE HAVE TAUGHT IN THE PAST, WE ASK STUDENTS TO WEAR OLD CLOTHING OR BRING AN APRON WITH THEM. WE WILL PROVIDE LATEX GLOVES. In this class, students will use alcohol ink on glass, ceramic, plumbers tape, egg shells/wood to create designs on various projects such as a beautiful suncatcher, refrigerator magnets, and pendants.
