Having spent the last 20+ years in education, I feel like the "new year" begins in August! However, I love the pause that occurs when the old calendars are put away and brand-new calendars are displayed - a short pause of reflection, excitement, and reaffirmation of our purpose.

Jill has such a way with words! So little of what we do as school leaders is black and white. We spend the majority of our time and energy in the gray in-between, therefore we should “lean toward the best solution “.

It is my pleasure to serve alongside these school board members as we seek to support the PAISD Legacy of Excellence!

Our school board members are also spending time this week learning how to best support the Marlin learning community. The entire school board and the superintendent are participating in the Texas Association of School Boards Summer Leadership Institute. We appreciate their service and their dedication to the PAISD Legacy of Excellence!
