Have you ever stayed stuck because you were terrified of making the wrong decision?

Here's something that completely changed my life:

You don't build self-trust by making all the right choices.

You build self-trust by becoming someone who knows they'll be okay no matter how the choice turns out.

For years, I thought if I just analyzed every angle, waited a little longer, or found more certainty, I'd finally know what to do.

Instead, I stayed stuck because I didn't trust myself.
Everything changed when I stopped chasing certainty and started building a relationship with myself.

✨ Awareness.
✨ Self-compassion.
✨ A regulated nervous system.
✨ Honoring my values.
✨ Keeping the promises I made to myself.

The decision itself wasn't what transformed me.

The process did.

Because when you feel steady inside, decisions become less about predicting the future and more about trusting that you'll navigate whatever comes next.

If this sparks something in you, I don't want it to end here.
Real change doesn't happen because we learn something once. It happens through practice.

That's why I created The Self-Trust Lab—a weekly women's circle where we don't just talk about self-trust...we practice it.

Each week, we'll explore simple, brain-centered, evidence-based tools that help you quiet self-doubt, regulate your nervous system, and strengthen the relationship you have with yourself.

Together we'll experiment, reflect, meditate, and support one another as we apply these practices to real life.

Think of it as your laboratory for becoming someone who trusts herself.

Because self-trust isn't something you find—it's something you build.

I'd love for you to join us.
Comment TRUST and I'll send you the details.

How many promises have you made to yourself this week?

šŸ‘‰ I'll start tomorrow.
šŸ‘‰ I'll meditate tonight.
šŸ‘‰ I'll stop checking my ex's social media.
šŸ‘‰ I'll finally take care of myself.

And how many of those promises quietly slipped away?

Most of us think the problem is a lack of motivation or discipline.

I don't.

The problem is we beat ourselves up for ā€˜failing’ and then give up altogether.

The good news? Self-trust isn't built through grand gestures. It's built one small promise at a time.

And it starts with ditching the inner critic and becoming the scientist of you own mind.

My Roadmap To Self Trust teaches you how to be in a relationship with yourself—not through shame or perfection, but through curiosity, neuroscience, and tiny daily actions that your nervous system can actually sustain.

Because self-trust isn't something you find.
It's something you practice.

This is really hard to share…

A few years ago, I was struggling in my marriage.

From the outside, it looked like we were the perfect couple.
But behind the scenes, I felt restless.

I was stuck in a cycle of confusion and self-doubt.

And the worst part? I thought the problem was me or my trauma.

But here’s what I realized...

The problem wasn’t either of those. It was that I chose my life based on fear and a lack of self-worth.

I was trying to fit into his life instead of creating my own.

And that shift changed everything.

Now, I help women who are stuck in the same cycle I was.

Not just to get better relationships. But to feel more secure in who they are. To have self-trust and confidence.

Because when you fix the root problem, you don’t just change the outcome, you change
your relationship with it.

If this sounds like you, you’re not broken. You just need a better approach.

In case we haven't met yet- Hi!

My name is Sadie Barr and I help folx regain their self-trust so they can stop overthinking, trust their decisions and finally feel like themselves again.

For over a decade, I’ve watched intelligent, capable people doubt themselves, silence their needs and look outside themselves for answers. I was one of them.

I didn't choose this path by accident. Through my experiences with making HUGE life changes (getting sober, getting divorced and leaving my recovery community) I learned how powerful it can be to have have the right guidance, support, and perspective.

For years, my work centered around addiction recovery and I noticed something important: the deepest struggles people face aren't about the addiction. They're about losing connection with themselves and the ability to trust they can make good decisions.

Because the truth is, many folx are trying to get off the ferris wheel of chronic self-doubt and validation seeking and but they’re doing it alone or without a clear path forward.

What I’ve learned is this:
progress is measured by persistence, not pace.

And when people start focusing on making small shifts fearlessly, moment to moment, things can change faster than they expect.

That’s why I’m so passionate about this work .

If you’re feeling fired up to make a change, I’d love to connect.

Drop a comment below or send me a DM and tell me what you’re currently working on.

A perfect stranger took this picture. Her name was Trina and we met on the hurricane ridge trail in Olympic National Park.

She had just gotten off of a 12hr shift at the hospital and wanted to get more steps in.

I’m still in awe of how she captured the essence of the childlike joy that still lives inside me.

That lives inside us all.

It’s easy to forget.

Thank you, Trina.

ā€œIt remains the dream of every life to realize itself, to reach out and lift oneself up to greater heights. A life that continues to remain on the safe side of its own habits and repetitions, that never engages with the risk of its own possibility, remains an unlived life.ā€

It was nearly four years ago on this mountain top I heard my life whisper ā€˜you have to leave’.

So I did.

And here I am.

Thank you to everyone who has sent labor, love, money, food, etc. Your generosity kept me sane and paid my rent this month 🄹

Recovery is taking longer than expected and I’m still on crutches a month later šŸ˜•

Making meals is the biggest challenge (right foot gets sooo tired being the only one holding me up).

So if you can bring me a meal or send a door dash that would take such a weight off (literally).

DM me and I’ll send a link to my meal train šŸ™

I soak my foot in the icy cold deschutes river every day- this spot right here. It heals my broken bone and soothes my achy heart.

Life insisted I sit still this summer. I’m not fighting.

ā€œLet go or be draggedā€, she said. My face cupped softly in her hands, a gentle smile in her eyes.

When will I return to work? Where will that be? Will my own love ever be enough? How can I stop living in fear? And when can I ditch these gd crutches??

No idea.

I will lie in her loving arms as I unfurl.

Waiting.
Resting.
Trusting.
