Start rowing with OPRA! Great start this Fall- lots of new rowers, warm nights, and calm water! Any experience level is welcome. Our new Coastal boats are designed to be very stable and easy to learn on. We also offer programs for Elementary 4th-6th grades and a competitive Youth program for 7th-12th grades.

Mirabel and Gabe are working at the high school club event today to let students know they can row with Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association. And our adult rowers volunteered for the Goat Run last weekend. Maybe some runners might like to exercise while sitting down?!

Just a great way to start the Labor Day Weekend- try rowing a boat with Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association! We had our first Open house Saturday morning to introduce this great sport. Calmer waters in September and October make it the best time to start rowing with OPRA. Join us at the Ediz Hook Boathouse on Saturday September 5th from 9:00 am to noon and try out our coastal boats, meet the crew, and learn about rowing! Our coastal boats are very stable and easy to learn on. We will provide life vests. Wear water shoes and comfortable clothes to exercise in.

Congratulations to our rowers from Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association who together completed the 88 km race around Salt Spring Island, BC. Team “Got Karrie’d Away” battled the open water coastal environment of the Island in an all out endurance race.

Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association hosted Beach sprints 2026 at Hollywood Beach and it was a huge success! Rowers from many clubs came to participate in this new rowing competition. It’s fast and fun and will be a new sport in the LA28 Olympics. Our coastal boats are made for this!
