Day 2 of the women's weekend: wishes granted! 🌬️⛵

The first half of the day was dead calm, so we made the most of it in the classroom, working through our core curriculum. After lunch, we wished for wind and it filled in just enough for some brilliant sailing, practicing tacking, gybing, and reading the wind on the water.

As the afternoon went on, the breeze built even more, and we practically had to drag everyone off the water! So much learning and camaraderie today. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Day one of women's sailing weekend is in the books, and the conditions couldn't have been better! ⛵

The next two days will be packed full of learning, laughs, and time on the water. We're so glad to have this amazing group of women aboard, and we can't wait to see the confidence (and the smiles) grow with every tack.

Friday night, Community Boating Program style. 🌅⚓

Not exactly how we planned to spend our Friday — but when one of our coach boats loses an engine, the show goes on. Tonight the team pulled the motor from our sidelined boat and swapped it onto our big RIB, turning two half-working boats into one solid workhorse ready for next weeks programs.

Great hands-on training for coach Charlie, getting real wrench-time alongside Brandon from Wet Dog Boats and Captain Keith, with veteran know-how from Marvin keeping it all on track. This is what keeping kids safe on the water looks like behind the scenes — even at sunset on a Friday.

We had a bummer of a call today — someone had to cancel their spot in an upcoming class. We always love meeting new people and sharing our love of sailing, so it's a loss for us too!

⛵ That's a wrap on the 2026 Camp Season! ⛵

We couldn't have asked for a better way to close things out than with our Teen Keelboat Camp this week. Our sailors got to split their time between two boats — our brand-new (to us!) Capri 22 Giggles and our longtime favorite Capri 22 Kicks — and they made the most of every minute on the water.

Over the course of the week, these teens tackled a serious amount of skill-building: ⚓ Rigging the boat from scratch ⚓ Tacking and gybing ⚓ Docking under sail ⚓ Navigating a course ⚓ Crew overboard & retrieval techniques ⚓ Setting a spinnaker ⚓ Reefing for weather

And on Friday, it all came together. With coaches onboard for guidance only, the teens took full ownership of the boats — sailing around PA Harbor, stopping off at the city pier, and bringing their boats safely home. Every call, every maneuver, every decision was theirs.

This is exactly what we love to see: kids stepping up, trusting their training, and truly captaining their own experience. What a way to end the camp season! 🌊

⛵ What a way to wrap up camp! Today we got out on the water with our Teen Vanguard campers on their very last day — and they made the most of it, catching some great breeze and speeding along the course.

The whole session was racing, racing, racing — long courses, short courses, you name it. These sailors were having a blast out there, and it showed. 🌊
