Ice Cream in a Bag!

Kindergarten students in Ms. Ashleigh and Mrs. Sherry’s class had a sweet and exciting way to practice the letter Ii! After learning about the letter I and its two different sounds, students made their very own ice cream in a bag.

They mixed, shook, and worked together to turn simple ingredients into a delicious frozen treat—all while making a meaningful connection to our letter of the week! This hands-on activity was a fun way to learn, explore, and enjoy some I is for Ice Cream fun!

Welcome to Noun Town!

First grade students have been learning all about nouns, and Ms. Seal’s class put their learning into action by creating their very own Noun Town! Each student designed something they might find in a town- a park, restaurants, a train, and so much more.

Once everyone finished their creations, students brought them all together to build one big Noun Town! The students loved watching their creativity come to life while learning about nouns along the way!

Poplarville High School Homecoming Court Tea Party

We want to give a huge shout-out to the wonderful businesses that made our Homecoming Court Tea Party such a special event! Mrs. Bethany Holliday at Henry’s Hill welcomed us into her amazing home and put together a spectacular setting. Way Out West Grill, Eclectic Cafe, and PCC Culinary's Hornet Cafe provided a wonderful brunch, and Sugar Macs provided delicious macarons for dessert.

Your generosity and support helped make this celebration unforgettable for our Homecoming Court and everyone who attended. We are so grateful to have such caring businesses in our community!

Poplarville High School is excited to announce the members of the 2026 Homecoming Court. Freshman maid: Brinklee Jo Schrader; Sophomore maids: Gracie Layne Steil and Kinzlee Preston Rodriguez; Junior maids: Akiyah Dayshun Fairley, Riley Maurissa Hart, and Aubrey Sophia Trumbach; Senior maids: Aniston Elizabeth Dillon, Catherine Taylor Hubbard, Zara Laney Pearl Mclemore, Cadence Lynn Owen, and Melayna Shae Theriot.

Poplarville High School extends an invitation to all community members to join in celebrating their Hornet pride with a Homecoming Procession on Thursday, September 17th, at 6:00 PM. The procession will start at Poplarville High School and make its way through town, concluding with a community pep rally at the town green. The highlight of the week will take place on Friday, September 18th, at 6:30 PM, when the 2026 Homecoming Queen will be crowned in a special ceremony before the Hornets take on the Pearl River Central Blue Devils.

Mrs.Howard’s class works on a class Fair project. Students have been learning about ways to be a Good Citizen. Each student chose a way to be a good citizen and drew a picture of them doing it!
