Today, we mourn the loss of Coach Gene Bess, a Hall of Fame coach, mentor, friend, and one of the most influential figures in the history of Three Rivers College.

Over 50 seasons, Coach Bess built a basketball program that became known across the nation, winning more games than any college basketball coach in history and leading the Raiders to two national championships. But his greatest legacy extends far beyond the court.

Coach Bess cared deeply about his players, this college, his family, and his faith. He mentored and inspired generations of students, helping shape lives both during their years as Raiders and long after they left Three Rivers.

His impact can be seen throughout our campus, our community, and in the countless lives he touched along the way.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nelda, Brian, Janell, and the entire Bess family during this difficult time.

Thank you, Coach. Your legacy will live on, and you will be deeply missed.

The newly renamed JoNell Seifert Children’s Drama Camp is back this summer with TWO one-week camps for students entering grades 2–8.

For many years, JoNell Seifert inspired young actors through this beloved summer tradition. Following her recent passing, the camp has been renamed in her honor to celebrate the lasting impact she had on generations of children and performers. This year's camp will be directed by Megan Garland.

Kids will:
✨ Learn acting skills
✨ Build confidence
✨ Make new friends
✨ Perform on stage
✨ Have LOADS of fun!

📅 Week 1: July 13–17
📅 Week 2: July 27–31

Camps meet Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center, with a special performance at 11 a.m. on Fridays.

The cost is $75 per child and includes a camp T-shirt, scripts, notebook, daily snack and drink, and more.

In observance of Memorial Day, Three Rivers College and all external locations will be closed tomorrow. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, at 8 a.m.

The Bess Activity Center will remain open tomorrow from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Rocky’s cafe will be closed.
