Victoria Simpson (4-H YPA) and Traven Crocker (MU Extension Horticulturist) joined Poplar Bluff Library for their Nature Explorers program, teaching kids the importance of trees in our environment!

Traven Crocker (MU Extension Horticulturist) and Victoria Simpson (4-H YPA) joined Wheatley Succeeding In School summer camp, and had a wonderful time visiting with students to learn all about plants and their life cycle! After our classroom discussion, we headed outside to explore our pizza garden in the raised beds.

The students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty by helping remove Bermuda grass from the unused beds and digging out old poke roots to prepare the garden for future planting. Their hard work is helping create a healthier growing space while giving them valuable hands-on gardening experience.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success! We love watching young gardeners learn, explore, and grow. 🌿🍅🌱

This fall the Missouri Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals will be hosting the National Conference for 4-H Professionals in Kansas City. As a part of raising funds so that we can show the rest of the National what is so great about the Show-Me State, we have already sold 4-H totes and will many calls from folks who missed out, we are offering one final opportunity to get yours! These 4-H totes are light-weight and easy to wash out making them versatile and handy. Bags are $40 each and can be ordered through the Google Form Below. Bags will be dispersed to counties following the late October conference. So, if you are looking for options for recognition or even Christmas presents, you are in luck!
