Are you a rising senior (or parent of a rising senior) feeling like you are falling behind on college applications? Unsure of what steps you need to take to ensure you have compelling applications to submit to your dream colleges? We've got a solution for you: Introducing College Applications in a Day on July 25th, 2026!

This is a brand new Foundry offering meant to help rising seniors create strong applications through a day of virtual lessons and both group and 1:1 coaching with Kenny, CEO of Foundry Admissions.

By the end of the day, students will have:
✓ A nearly completed Common Application profile
✓ A polished Activities List
✓ A clear personal essay topic and outline—or even a strong first draft
✓ Personalized feedback on their application materials
✓ A roadmap for completing the rest of their applications (specifically a schedule for the supplemental essays) with confidence

Based on many years of prior work with students, I would place the value of this service at around $1200, but for this first running of the service on 25 July, I am offering tickets for $795.

You can learn more about the day and grab your tickets here:

📅 Mid-July is one of the most important times in the college admissions process.

Why?

Because students who begin their personal essay now have something incredibly valuable:

Time.

Time to brainstorm.
Time to revise.
Time to get thoughtful feedback.
Time to create an essay that truly reflects who they are.

Students who wait until September or October often end up rushing one of the most personal parts of their application.

A few weeks invested now can make the entire application season feel far less overwhelming.

That's exactly why we're offering our College Applications in One Day workshop—to help students make meaningful progress before senior year accelerates. Learn more and grab your ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/college-applications-in-one-day-tickets-1992956375167

Parents often ask me, "How do we help our student get started?"

Here's the framework I use with nearly every rising senior:

1️⃣ Pick one meaningful idea, experience, or passion.
2️⃣ Identify three words that best describe who you are.
3️⃣ Build the essay around those three qualities.

Instead of listing accomplishments, show how one experience shaped your character—and how those traits now appear in other parts of your life.

It's simple.
It's organized.
And most importantly, it helps students move beyond staring at a blank page.

Getting a rough draft written in July makes senior year dramatically less stressful.

We'll be teaching this exact process during our upcoming College Applications in One Day workshop. Learn more and grab your ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/college-applications-in-one-day-tickets-1992956375167

One of the biggest misconceptions about the Common Application essay is that students need an extraordinary life story.

They don't.

Admissions officers aren't looking for someone who climbed Mount Everest or started a million-dollar business.

They're looking for authenticity.

Sometimes the best essays come from everyday experiences:
🎻 Learning an instrument.
⚽ Playing a sport.
🌱 Working a summer job.
📚 A favorite hobby.
👨‍👩‍👧 A family tradition.

What matters isn't the event itself—it's what that experience reveals about the student.

The best essays answer one question:

"Who are you, and why should we want you in our campus community?"

That's the goal we'll be working toward in our upcoming College Applications in One Day session. Learn more and grab your ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/college-applications-in-one-day-tickets-1992956375167

✍️ The hardest part of the college essay isn't writing it—it's getting started.

Every July, I work with rising seniors who stare at a blank page wondering, "What am I even supposed to write about?"

Here's the good news: you don't need the perfect story. You just need a starting point.

I encourage students to begin by asking:
✅ What's something I genuinely care about?
✅ What experience has shaped me?
✅ What three words best describe who I am?

Once you answer those questions, the essay becomes much easier to build.

The Common Application essay is only 650 words, but it can tell colleges far more about your student than grades and test scores ever could.

Starting now—before senior year gets hectic—is one of the smartest things a rising senior can do.

If you'd like guided support, we'll be covering this process step-by-step during our College Applications in One Day workshop, where students will leave with real progress on their applications. Learn more here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/college-applications-in-one-day-tickets-1992956375167

📅 Future You Will Thank You for Getting Organized Now

The students who have the smoothest application seasons are usually the ones who create a plan before senior year starts.

This summer, map out:
✅ Application deadlines
✅ Scholarship deadlines
✅ Financial aid milestones
✅ Recommendation letter requests

A little planning now can save a lot of stress later.
