Need something to do this weekend? How about finding real buried treasure! Pirate Captain Rex has hidden treasure somewhere in Poolesville. Use this map to find where it is and claim the prize! Each finder can keep 1 gold coin from the treasure box, and log their name on the log sheet to prove their treasure hunting skills.
For this first one, I’ll give you a handy hint. Use the latitude and longitude coordinates on the bottom right to find the location using a maps app, then use this map to determine where ❌ marks the spot.
This treasure will be hidden for the entire month of September. If found, please return the treasure box to its original hiding spot for others to find after claiming the prize.
**disclaimer: please only treasure hunt during fair weather conditions. Parental supervision during treasure hunting is advised**
Good luck and happy hunting!
