Mrs. Ritchie, our school counselor, went into 5th grade classrooms this week and talked with students about the role of the counselor, best times to see the counselor, emergency situations, and confidentiality. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about each other by tossing and catching a thumball and telling their classmates about themselves.

Our 6th grade Ag students harvested fresh produce from the middle school garden—proof that hard work really does grow on plants! From garden to basket, these young farmers enjoyed a fresh and tasty reward.

Mental Health Relaxation

After a unit on mental health, students in Mrs. Koon's health class took a day to focus on their own! They ended the class by practicing different relaxation techniques.

PMS Library Orientation: Ready, Set, Read!

Our PMS students are off to a fantastic start in the library! During orientation, students learned library rules, proper book care, and how to find books using genres, subjects, and call numbers. They put their new skills to the test with an exciting library scavenger hunt before checking out books to enjoy. Students are also excited about reading on Epic and earning AR rewards throughout the year. We can’t wait to watch our Warriors explore, imagine, learn, and grow through reading!

PMS Kicks Off Accelerated Reading

PMS students kicked off the new Accelerated Reader season by reviewing AR rules and guidelines and learning about the exciting rewards that they can earn each nine weeks and at the end of the school year. Students enjoyed games and activities as they learned more about setting reading goals and earning rewards for their hard work. Prizes were also given away, adding even more excitement to the kickoff! We can't wait to see our Warriors read, grow, and reach their AR goals this year!
