Pastor Jarrod joined us Friday in chapel, and shared the story Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
After reading this story he read Acts 16:16-34. The story of Paul and Silas being beaten and thrown in jail, for sharing The Gospel.
He showed us that we can have bad days, really bad days and still praise the Lord. It can even result in people giving themselves to The Lord and receiving Him as their Savior 🤍

September 11th, it’s a date that brings so many memories and emotions to mind.
Tragic
Inconceivable
Devastating
We had such a blessing this morning, as Pastor Jeff, from Chenoa Baptist joined us for chapel.
There are additional words to describe the events immediately following the evil attacks on the USA.
Unified
Resilient
Heroic
KIND
Pastor Jeff focused on kindness and shared several stories of acts of kindness that took place in the very moment and throughout the following days, weeks, and months.
As many people ran from the chaos, there were so many kind people who ran to help. The 1st responders , good Samaritans, pastors police officers, firefighters all ran to not away.
He shared our verse that we are focusing on this month.
Ephesians 4:32 love is patient and KIND♥️
We have an opportunity every single day to be kind, to show the love of Jesus, to be united and love one another. 
It was a wonderful experience in chapel to listen, share and hear the precious questions from children who thankfully don’t understand the kind of evil that took place 25 years ago.

We got to hear from Taylor Baxter Friday morning 🥰
He shared a deeper understanding of kindness, which is our word for the month of September.
♥️He asked us, who’s the kindest person you know?
Parents dominated this answer, way to go moms and dads!!🥰🥰
♥️ He asked, would others say we’re kind?😬
♥️Jesus is the kindest person ever, our kindness can point others to Jesus 🤗

♥️How can our kindness point people towards Jesus?
By living out The Fruit of the Spirit
It shows our heart when we talk, react and respond.

Remember this, The enemy knows your name but calls you by your sin⚫️
God knows our sin but calls us by our name 🤍

Taylor wrapped up our chapel time with 2 of our Bible verses for September, it was wonderful to hear our students join in without prompting or a visual aid 💜

♥️Colossians 3:12
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

♥️Ephesians 4:32
Be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
as God in Christ forgave you.

We’re always so grateful for our weekly recharge with our chapel speakers. Taylor definitely blessed us all with his message!

Chapel days are such a highlight of our week at GCS💜
We kicked off the school year with Pastor Brian King from Fairbury Baptist.
He opened with the fun walk up song RESPECT 🎶🎵🎶

He reminded us, We need to own our actions.
No one is responsible for our actions, decisions, and behavior but us.

We need to, Be sincere and honest with each other and yourself.

God treats us all the same, rich, poor, tall, short, we’re all the same.
Consideration is something we need to show to others, Parents, teachers, family, classmates.
Build trust and Honor God, and Parents 💜
