Yesterday, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Theta Lambda Omega Chapter was proud to welcome students back to school with a little extra love and encouragement.

Our Sorors participated in Back to School Clap-Ins at Rogers Elementary, Herrington Elementary, and Peace Academy, cheering on students as they started a new school year.

There’s nothing like beginning the day surrounded by smiles, positive energy, and a community reminding our students that we are rooting for them. Wishing all of our students, teachers, and school staff a wonderful and successful year ahead.

As Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Theta Lambda Omega Chapter celebrates our 60th Charter Anniversary, we’re calling on members, families, and community partners to help us preserve our history.

Have photos, programs, invitations, awards, memorabilia, or other pieces of TLO history? We’d love to include them in our upcoming historical exhibit at the Pontiac Public Library.

Home again, but still smiling from an unforgettable week in Las Vegas! 💗💚

The 72nd Boule was filled with beautiful sisterhood, inspiring moments, laughter, fellowship, and memories that will last a lifetime. From reconnecting with sorors from around the world to celebrating our shared purpose under the “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood”® administration, every moment was special.

Now it’s time to unpack the suitcase, catch up on sleep, and relive it all through photos. Thank you to everyone who made this Boule one to remember. Until next time… 💕💚

During the month of June, Theta Lambda Omega supported several Black-owned businesses as a part of our Black Dollar Days Initiative. Members supported Shuga-Me Desserts in Auburn Hills, owned by Reggie Harris. If he looks familiar, he’s appeared on the Food Network’s Halloween Wars! Thank you, Reggie and the staff at Sugah-Me, for the delicious treats and hospitality!

In observance of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, over 30 chapter members and guests joined the Empower Our Families Committee for our 4th Annual Wind Down Wednesday Music and Game Night on May 27, 2026! The theme for this year's observance is "More Good Days, Together". We celebrated with good food, dancing, community, and friendly competition!

We supported Black-owned businesses by purchasing and playing these games: Culture Tags, Roll Call, AuxGod, and Lyrically Correct. Thank you to Mr. Demar Byas for serving once again as our game show host! Thank you, DJ Jewels, for always keeping the party going, especially during our dance breaks! Much appreciation to the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated-Omicron Alpha Alpha Chapter (Pontiac) for hosting. We are looking forward to next year's event!
