PTO welcomed all Pontiac Grade School District #429 staff back for the first full week of school with a treat of their choice from either Acres or The Cup and the Scone. Today was Acres Inn day for Central Elementary.

Thank you to our amazing staff for teaching and caring for our students every day 🧡💙 We are looking forward to a fantastic school year!

🎒 And just like that... we’re back! 🧡💙

Today, our D429 kiddos are heading back through those doors for another school year. New classrooms, new routines, familiar faces, new friends, and probably a few nervous butterflies mixed in with all that first-day excitement. 📚✏️❤️

To our students, teachers, staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and all the grown-ups helping make today happen, have a GREAT first day! ☀️

And parents... take the picture. Even if they roll their eyes. 📸😂 We promise you’ll be glad you did.

P429 Families,

School supply box update below! Please make sure you read if you ordered a box from 1st Day School Supplies.

- Central & Lincoln families: Our numbers were too low to have boxes delivered on a pallet to individual schools. So your supply box will be delivered to your house! This should occur during the week of August 3rd. If you don't have yours by August 7th please contact Mrs. Kelsey Smith at [email protected] and she will reach out to the First Day Rep.

- Washington & PJHS families: Your boxes will be ready for pick up on August 6th from 6:30-8PM at Washington School. If you are unable to pick them up ahead of time, they will be at your respective school during Open House on August 11th.

- On another note, our first PTO meeting is August 6th starting at 5:30 in the Washington School teacher’s lounge, we would love to have some new faces join us!
