Pontiac Academy for Excellence is a charter school district in Pontiac, Michigan, that is supportive to the whole child, the whole family and it's whole community, in the pursuit of educational and life success. Founded by OLHSA, a Community Action Agency, in 1998 to offer a superior educational experience, Pontiac Academy of Excellence is the largest and longest-standing charter option in Pontiac. It remains the only local charter serving students from kindergarten through grade twelve, providing children and families the stability and resources needed to grow both in the classroom and beyond. Safety, respect, learning and community are the pillars of excellence honored by each student and the district.

📣 EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR PAE FAMILIES!

We are excited to continue our partnership with the Boldly Moving Education Ahead, (BMEA) and share an incredible opportunity for our elementary boys! 💙

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 BMEA Youth Leadership Development Program (YLDP). This FREE after-school mentoring program provides boys with a safe, supportive environment focused on developing the whole child — personally, socially, and academically — through positive, intergenerational mentorship.

📚 Who can participate?
• Male students in grades K–5
• Must attend a BMEA partnering school, including PAE
• Must be able to attend all 3 program days each week

📅 Program Schedule:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 3:45–5:15 p.m.
🚀 Program begins the week of October 5
