Calling all Caterpillar Corner Childcare families! Are you ready to power up for a great cause? Our Super Mario Penny Wars will officially begin this coming Monday! Sept, 28, 2026
Here is how to play and help your child’s classroom level up to victory:
➕ BOOST YOUR CLASSROOM: Drop pennies and dollars into your child's class jug to add points!
➖ ATTACK OTHER CLASSES: Drop silver coins (nickels, dimes, quarters) into competing classroom jugs to subtract points and put them in the negative! 💣
🎀 PLAY FOR A PURPOSE: 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation!

Infants naturally explore their environment through touch, sight, and movement, and set of nesting or stacking rings offers an engaging sensory experience.

Visual & Tactile Exploration: A baby will typically grab a ring, turn it over in their hands, and bring it to their mouth to feel its texture and size. Brightly colored rings draw their attention, helping them practice visual tracking as they move the shapes around.

Fine Motor Development: As infants grasp different sizes, they adjust their grip strength and finger placement. Picking up a large, heavy ring requires a full-palm grasp, while smaller rings encourage the development of a refined pincer grasp using the thumb and index finger.

Spatial Awareness & Problem Solving: When presented with multiple rings, babies begin to experiment with scale and cause-and-effect. They might attempt to fit a smaller ring inside a larger one, bang two rings together to hear the sound, or practice stacking them onto a central peg—learning through trial and error how sizes relate to one another.
