Help us make a PAWsitive difference! Through the Humane Society’s Pawsitive Reading program, our students visit the shelter each month to read books to the animals. Not only does reading aloud help shelter pets feel calmer and more comfortable, but it also gives our students a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, strengthen their reading skills, and practice kindness and compassion.

Now, we're inviting our Mandala families to help us spread even more love!

We're collecting donations for our furry friends, including:

Wet and dry dog and cat food
Dog and cat treats
Pet toys
Blankets and towels (without stuffing)
Leashes and collars
Paper towels
Gently used toys, blankets, leashes, and collars are welcome, too!

📅 Donations Due: Wednesday, November 4th

Our students will bring the donations along on their next Pawsitive Reading visit on November 5th.

Please send any donations to school with your child by November 4th.

Thank you for helping our students learn that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a PAWsitive impact! 🐾

Today our students and staff went PURPLE for Rett Syndrome Awareness!

The day was made even more special with time spent at Hydaway Collective's farm Hydaway Hollow, where we got to enjoy being together outside of the classroom while supporting a cause close to our hearts.

A huge thank you to Lillian's family for helping make today so meaningful and for sharing their story with our Mandala community.

We're proud to be part of a community that shows up for one another! 💜

Sometimes learning starts with squishing a tomato! Touching it. Smelling it. Looking at the colors. Feeling the texture. Pulling it apart. And yes…sometimes giving it a good squish!

Each interaction is an opportunity to become a little more familiar and comfortable with something new. And these hands-on experiences allow our students to explore at their own pace while building curiosity, confidence, and comfort around different foods and sensory experiences.

Courage doesn’t always mean doing something big or fearless. Sometimes, it’s trying something new when you’re unsure, asking for help when something feels hard, speaking up for yourself or someone else, or simply choosing to try again after a mistake.

This month our students will be learning what it means to be courageous in ways that feel meaningful to them.

We’ll celebrate brave little moments all month long, because every time a student can say “I can try”, “I can ask for help”, or “I can try again”, they’re building confidence!

Our students had the pleasure of visiting Valley Ridge Pediatric Dentistry for a very special lesson in healthy smiles!

A huge thank you to Dr. Ryan and team for taking the time to show our students how to care for their teeth, what happens during a visit to the dentist, and (most importantly) that the dentist doesn’t have to be a scary place.

Experiences like this give our students the chance to learn, ask questions, explore new environments, and build confidence.
