At Modern E Manners, we don’t include dance in our Cotillon just because it’s tradition—we include it because it helps children grow.

When children learn social dance, they are developing so much more than choreography.

✨ They learn confidence.
✨ They practice respectful communication.
✨ They improve posture and body awareness.
✨ They strengthen memory, focus, rhythm, and coordination.
✨ They learn to lead, follow, adapt, and work as a team.
✨ They become comfortable interacting with others in a respectful and age-appropriate way.

Movement also supports the developing brain by connecting both sides of the body, improving coordination, and helping children regulate their nervous system. When kids move together, laugh together, and accomplish something together, they build confidence that carries into school, friendships, presentations, interviews, and life.

That’s why dance is a small yet important part of our Cotillion experience.

We’re teaching them how to carry themselves with confidence, kindness, respect, and grace—wherever life takes them.

✨The fireworks are over, now let’s help our children shiny even more!! ✨

✨ Independence isn’t just about freedom... it’s about raising children who know how to use it well.

As we celebrate the days following the 4th, I’m reminded that one of the greatest gifts we can give our children isn’t another activity—it’s the confidence, character, and social skills they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.

At Modern E Manners, students learn so much more than etiquette. They build confidence, practice respectful communication, develop leadership, make meaningful friendships, and gain life skills that will serve them in school, college, interviews, careers, and relationships.
