Most people aren’t single because there’s no one out there… they’re single because their standards are higher than their market reality.

What they “will not compromise on” is often based on that perception. I see it every day — and I’m probably just as guilty.

Don’t vilify me. I’m just reporting what I see over and over again.

We pass over compatible options because they don’t match the exact profile we think we need. Then we point to the market… or the opposite s*x… as the reason. The truth? Most of us simply don’t know.

Love gets a whole lot easier to find when we stop shopping in a store we can’t afford.

Look into research on the bias blind spot and the 2025 PLOS One study showing how men and women routinely misjudge not only their own dating value but also what the opposite s*x truly finds attractive. That might sound like bad news, but it’s not — it just means we all need to relax a little on the external standards. No one’s talking about relaxing standards for integrity and kindness.
