Just finished photographing these Paleoindian points from the Tulare Lake Basin. These points are characterized as Western Fluted or Basally Thinned and Concave Base dart points made from chert, basalt, rhyolite, and quartz. These are part of the largest inventory of such points from one location in California dating to 11,500 to 13,000 years ago. They were used to hunt megafauna during the end of the last ice age.
