THIS is Ponder.

The past few days have shown us once again what makes this community so special.

To everyone who worked tirelessly to restore water service, thank you. We know there were long hours and so much work happening behind the scenes to get our community back up and running, and we are incredibly grateful.

Thank you as well to those who donated water, gave their time and resources, helped neighbors, and even opened their facilities so our student-athletes could continue putting in the work.

A huge thank you to Milestone Church, H-E-B, Town of Ponder, Ponder Hardware, White Cap, Denton County Cowboy Church, Alexis Norberg, Landmark Community Church, First Baptist Church, Ponder, Mr. and Mrs. Hooper, Guyer High School Wildcats, and Pastor Baker with Christian Faith Fellowship, along with the many others who stepped up along the way.

SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26!

Ponder families, we appreciate you! Water service has been restored, and Ponder ISD will be back in session tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26.

We will continue taking precautions throughout the school day. Ponder ISD will have bottled water available for all students and staff throughout the day. Restrooms will be operational, while sinks and water fountains will remain turned off. Hand sanitizer will also be available throughout our campuses.

Chartwells Food Services will provide breakfast items and boxed lunches, available to students according to their regular meal eligibility or for purchase through normal meal service.

Thank you to our Ponder families and community for your patience, flexibility, and support.

SCHOOL CLOSURE | Tuesday, August 25

Due to a water service issue impacting the Town of Ponder and the resulting boil water notice, Ponder ISD will be closed Tuesday, August 25.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff is always a top priority. Without reliable water service, we are unable to fully operate our campuses, safely provide meals, and meet the needs of our students throughout the school day.

Athletics, fine arts, and other extracurricular activities: Coaches, directors, and sponsors will communicate directly with students and families regarding practices, events, and other scheduled activities for Tuesday, August 25.

Ponder Elementary Curriculum Night scheduled for Tuesday evening is also canceled.

Additional information regarding Curriculum Night will be shared with families at a later time.

We appreciate our Ponder families and community for your understanding. We will keep you informed as we learn more.

A HUGE shout-out and Thank You to the class of 2030 for the Chuys lunch yesterday! You guys have fueled us through this last week! We are so thankful and excited to see these guys go on to do great things in High School!
