Precision is a force multiplier in Jiu jitsu. In a game where a small adjustment can have dramatic effects upon performance, it pays to learn details that make a difference. There will be a trade off between your desire to implement the details that make a difference to performance and your need to initiate the move in a timely manner. There comes a point where if you spend too much time fixating on details you’ll be too late in the application of the move, but if you rush before the details are satisfactorily employed you’ll get suboptimal results. You must learn to find a balance between these two demands.
