Interesting!!! This article suggests that when the brain processes complex sentences, the activity exercises our "language muscles". If I had known that long ago, I might have begun focusing on using complex sentence patterns earlier and more frequently. Why not give it a try yourself?!!?

With help from an artificial language network, MIT neuroscientists have discovered what kind of sentences are most likely to fire up the brain's key language processing centers.
