This course combines the fundamental and basic skills necessary for combat marksmanship with the tactical knowledge required to survive with a shotgun in a hostile environment.

This is the second course of Tactical Fi****ms Academy’s shotgun courses. Prerequisite “Learning the Shotgun” or “Shotgun Fundamentals” course is required, prior to taking this class.

Emphasis is placed on the basic shooting skills and developing tactical applications for those skills.

Topics covered are:

· Safety- Administrative, range and operation carry
· Nomenclature
· Proper Loading Techniques
· Stance & Mount
· Patterning at 3,7,10,15,20,25 yds.
· Target acquisition (single and multiple threats)
· Ready positions
· Transition to handgun
· Shooting on the move
· CSTC qualification (Criminal Justice Standard &
Training Commission Shotgun qualifier)

The TFA Steel Challenge takes place on the third Sunday of every month. This event is open to all TFA students and provides the ability to practice what they’ve learned in our training classes. The TFA Steel Challenge is also open to other shooters if they have a completed structured training class in the discipline they wish to participate. This is an intermediate to advanced event. It is not an instructional training class nor is it open to beginner/new shooters.
