🩵SENSORY THERAPY IN ACTION: WHEN LEARNING BECOMES A JOURNEY THROUGH THE SENSES💛
At Broward Children's Center, we believe every experience can become a powerful therapeutic tool. That's why our children had an unforgettable day exploring textures, sounds, and shapes during a special hands-on visit visit from My Little Petting Zoo.
WHY IS SENSORY THERAPY SO IMPORTANT?
For children with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, or medically fragile conditions, the world is experienced in a unique way. Touch, sight, sound, and movement help to:
• Strengthen neural connections and cognitive development
• Improve motor coordination and sensory response
• Reduce anxiety and promote emotional regulation
• Encourage curiosity, communication, and social interaction
• Build confidence through new experiences in a safe environment
Our mission goes beyond medical care: we provide a continuum of services designed to meet the developmental, therapeutic, and medical needs of infants and children, always working hand in hand with their families. We believe in the power of meaningful experiences that help every child reach their fullest potential.
