Day three of our Hammer making class. Students finished grinding their hammers to final shape and finish and the Hammers were quenched in oil to harden. Students will take the Hammers home temper them in their oven and then return to have them handled.

First night of our 3-day Hammer making class. Started with 3 in Long 2-in round 4140 Steel. Students finished punching the eyes of their Hammer today tomorrow they will finish forging the shape of their hammer and begin grinding and then heat treating

Another successful introduction to Machining class. Students learned five Machining techniques on the metal lathe including facing turning boring knurling and parting making the bespoke custom pens. Check out our website guildfl.com for a complete listing of our exciting classes.

More upgrades to our metal working lathes. Replacing the feed direction k***s with a lever for more positive fees direction control. These levers were completely made using our own lathes and utilize all the skills we teach in our Introduction to Machining Class. Take your metal working game to the next level by taking this class. 144 layer twist pttern Damascus forged down to 3/4" then turned down to make pen barrels. Next going to try to make a matching pair of Damascus flintlock dueling pistol barrels.
