Workforce Innovation & Career Engagement - WICE

The College of Professional and Global Education at Cal Poly Pomona's Dean, Dr. Larisa Preiser-Houy, having spent over 3 decades innovating in higher education, and Dr. Regina Cash, having over 30 years of experience creating cutting-edge workforce development solutions across non-profit, private, and higher education sectors, envisioned having CPGE as the hub of regional economic and talent development back in 2024.

In August of 2025, this vision became reality when Shelly Yu-Tze Wang and Jacob Beyer were brought on to form the first part of the WICE ecosystem. In January of 2026, that vision was expanded when President Dr. Iris Levine announced the launch of Bronco CareerWorks.

Envision, Execute, Exist.

The leadership landscape in 2026 calls for vision about AI, courage to mitigate change, and a refocus on humans.
