📣 A MESSAGE FROM COACH ROGERS 🏈
The Falcon football team traveled to Hiawatha last Friday night for our jamboree, and what a great night for some football surrounded by cornfields! 🌽🏈
We went up against Bishop Ward, Hiawatha, and Valley Falls in that order. It was the first time this group got the opportunity to go against players in a live football setting, and the boys came ready to compete! 💪🔥
With new players comes learning new positions, new responsibilities, and learning how to work together as a team. We saw a LOT to be excited about last Friday night! There are definitely a few areas we need to clean up, but that’s what jamborees are for.
💥 DEFENSE: We created some turnovers as a group and showed some great hustle and physicality.
💥 OFFENSE: We moved the football and had several exciting plays that showed what this group is capable of.
💥 EX*****ON: We saw some great ex*****on, but we also found areas where we need to be more consistent and finish plays.
💥 HUSTLE: The boys continued to compete and chase the football. That effort matters.
There is still plenty of work to do, but we are excited about what we saw on the field last Friday night! This group is learning, improving, and starting to come together.
A BIG THANK YOU to Hiawatha for hosting a great jamboree and for feeding our boys before they made the journey home. We truly appreciate the hospitality! 👏
