Happy Straturday! We have something special to share with you guys! Two 60s Fender Strats walked into the shop awhile back and we had the pleasure to work on these pieces of music history.

If anyone can guess which famous guitar players owned these axes they will win a free hoodie!

Today’s iteration of “Throw Back Thursday” takes us back to March 3, 1968. The Beat Instrumental magazine shows how instruments and bands were advertised to musicians and what wacky gear existed back in the day. When looking at the photos pay close attention to the article about the “Frist Folding Guitar” a concept that is expanded today. Who knew that idea was thought of in the 1960s? Thanks to Chris’ Guitar Shop we learn something new every day!

Wanted to share this cool 60’s magazine we found at Chris’ Guitar Shop. It has some cool advertisements from companies that don’t exist anymore and some that are still striving today. We are bringing back a real “Throw Back Thursday.” We have another magazine from the same era we want to share but let us know in comments if you like this kind of content!!!!

What is Chris doing today, you may ask? Chris is assembling a pedalboard and building custom cables for a customer. We are doing our own rig rundown today, and Chris will explain his magic!

Chris’ Guitar Shop is about community and providing a safe space for people from all walks of life, regardless of gender or race. In this photo, Chris proudly teaches a young musician how to change the strings on their guitar. As a shop, we believe in helping when we can and teaching the skills needed to become proud owners of a musical instrument, young or old. When you stop in for a repair or just come in to say hello don’t hesitate to ask us how to do something, we will happily show you!

Chris is back in the shop working on some guitar and basses! Chris is getting Fender P bass ready for the upcoming tour. Check out both and music if you haven’t so. If you are around the area drop by and say hello, don’t be a stranger!
