WesternU welcomes you to Script Your Future, a campaign aimed to help you learn why medication adherence, or taking your medications regularly and as directed, is so important for your health and wellbeing.
Why is medication adherence so important? By improving medication adherence, you can prevent your health conditions from worsening, lower your number of doctor visits and the need for emergency visits. By taking your medications regularly, you can increase your chances of living a longer, healthier life.
On the WesternU Script Your Future website, there are various resources for patients to help understand their medical conditions, such as infographics in various languages and prescription savings coupons to help lessen the financial burden on patients.
This year, we have also launched a brand new podcast geared towards health professionals and students to learn more about various topics, such as medication adherence, vaccine confidence, antimicrobial resistance, hypertension, diabetes, and the importance of interprofessional collaboration! Our podcast episodes are available to listen to on our website, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
