Cal Poly Pomona ASCE Concrete Canoe

Cal Poly Pomona ASCE Concrete Canoe ASCE Concrete Canoe team Every year Civil Engineering undergrads at Cal Poly Pomona gather to create a concrete canoe.

This process involves, designing, organizing, construction, analysis, asthetics, finance, leadership, concrete mix design, technical paper and presentation. It is a huge commitment and very rewarding for the students involved. The concrete canoe is a club on campus that competes annually at the ASCE Pacific Southwest Regional Competition. It is one of the most significant events that is held. During the canoe competion the students are asked to do a 5 minute presentation, produce a 10 page technical paper, compete in races, and show-off the canoe and final product.
