Roy is currently interning at our university’s Agriculture Department as a plant breeder. On his free time, Roy plays soccer and attends music festivals. He taught himself how to play guitar and is ready to see the Raiders play in Las Vegas when the quarantine is over. 🔥👇

Carlos is a big car enthusiast. He loves to drive his 18’ Subaru WRX, Skai 🚙 as well as working on cars in general. (did we mention he drives manual 🥵🔥)

Carlos also likes to play soccer in his free time⚽️. He likes to fish, as well as hiking and snowboarding in his hometown🏂 Show our neo some love 😍👇🏾👇🏾

Good evening everyone! Today we are highlighting our brother Eliud Giles, who is an intern for Aflac Inc. Eliud has the opportunity to combine his love of helping others and business savvy along side established experts in the field. He continues the quest for growth and knowledge by gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed, not only in the insurance industry but in the supply chain industry as well. Our brother reinforces our school motto: "Learn by doing", with the hands-on experience he receives from working within multiple parts of their Internal Operations, Marketing, Sales, Financial Services, Human Services, and others who work with him on a day-to-day basis. He also analyzes competitor marketing and sales material both on and offline. Brothers up!

Good Afternoon, today we would like to highlight our brother Francisco Martinez. He’s currently working for Target Corporation as an Executive Team Leader (Assistant Manager). His role is to lead a specific area of the store, including Guest Experience, Human Resources, Sales Floor, Logistics, Assets Protection or Food, and ensuring the different areas run smoothly in order for guests to find exactly what they are looking for. Also, Francisco is in charge of motivating his team of about 30-60 members to improve performance, and ensure guests have the best possible experience during every visit. Most importantly, he plays a big part in creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere for his team to work. Great job, brother!

Gammas are staying productive during the summer and today we want to highlight our brother Leo Jimenez. He’s a current Operations Intern at Target Corporation Regional Distribution Center. He’s working in the warehouse department and facilitates a team of 60 team members. His daily tasks include pre-shift planning, daily production drops, pacing to decrease thresholds, implementing continuous improvement methods, and coaching his team members on efficient methods. Safety is the number one priority at Target’s Distribution Center followed by quality, cycle time, and production. He plans to keep working with the retail giant as a full time Operations Manager after his internship. Keep up the great work brother! 👇🏽

We want to highlight our brother Brian Ortega who is a current intern at Griffith Company as a Project Engineer. He’s currently working on the LAX Landside Access Modernization Program (“LAMP”) which is a new ground transportation network consisting of four major elements. The primary purpose of the Project is to provide additional options for passengers and employees to access airport facilities. These elements include an elevated, 2.25-mile Automated People Mover; Two Intermodal Transportation Facilities with parking areas allowing for drop-offs and pick-ups from personal vehicles, buses, shuttles, taxis and ride-sharing services; a Consolidated Rental Car facility which will consolidate the rental car agencies near the airport at one location; and, a comprehensive series of roadway improvements to alleviate traffic congestion in and around airport facilities. We want to highlight our brother Saul Sandoval for getting hired as a staff engineer at Geo-Advantec, Inc. The many services that the business provides range from Geotechnical Engineering and Soils & Materials Laboratory Testing to Special Inspection Services. Geotechnical engineering is essential to foundation design for every existing or new structure, highway, bridge, tunnel, harbor, airport, water line, reservoir, and so forth. Commonly, the geotechnical engineering service comprises a study of subsurface conditions using various sampling, in-situ testing, and/or other site-characterization techniques, performing engineering analyses, and providing geotechnical solutions and recommendations to build improvements. This small business has selected our brother to be part of their team to help solidify their superior service in return to help our brother excel in the field of engineering during his las year at Cal Poly Pomona.
