The Office of Technology will reset all student passwords on Friday, Aug. 28 after 4 p.m. This is the password used for StudentVue, Microsoft 365, Canvas LMS and logging into CCPS devices.

To prepare for the Aug. 28 student password change, new passwords along with current passwords are viewable in StudentVue and ParentVue.

CCPS uses email, phone call and text message alerts as part of its systemwide mass communication. The platform used by CCPS is Apptegy, which pulls data from the student information and staff data systems. Parents should have a current phone number and email address on file with their child's school. CCPS text alerts come from the short code 98900.

A cell phone number must be on file with CCPS to receive text alerts. Mass emails from CCPS/schools come from [email protected]. To avoid any issues with emails, parents should add [email protected] to the address book or safe senders list in their preferred email platform. For more information visit

The Dr. Chinnadurai Devadason School Based Health Center is open, with services available for Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) students. The center is located on the Indian Head Elementary School campus, but all CCPS students are eligible to receive services.

Families of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals can now fill out an application for the program for the 2026-2027 school year. Students who qualified for free and reduced-price meals last school year must have a new application by Oct. 6 to ensure there is no disruption to a student’s account.
