The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office and I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Meigs High School Automotive Class for their dedication and hard work throughout this school year. These students have done an outstanding job helping maintain our patrol fleet by performing oil changes and regular maintenance on Sheriff’s Office cruisers.

Their professionalism, work ethic, and willingness to help our office has not gone unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the time and effort they put in each and every week. Programs like this provide valuable hands-on experience for students while also benefiting our community, and we are proud to support their learning opportunities.

On Tuesday, we were happy to provide the class with a pizza party as a small token of appreciation for everything they have done for our office this year.

To the seniors, we wish you success in your future endeavors and know you all have bright futures ahead. To the juniors, we hope to see you back next year continuing to help take care of our fleet!

A huge shout out to Mr. Jackson and his Academic Resource students! Throughout the year, Mr. Jackson has focused on teaching valuable lessons in character and community responsibility, and his students recently put those lessons into action by volunteering to clean up our school grounds and surrounding neighborhood. Together, they collected more than 100 pounds of trash!

Thank you for showing pride in our school and making a positive impact on our community!

The students are: Brenden Angel, Brennan Burnem, Jaxton Casto, Reese Clark, Malakhi Frreland, Brayden Goble, Robert Hendricks, Chase Horn, Gage Malone, Peyton Malone, Josiah Mcombs, Dane Mullins, Cullen Patterson, Ethan Sheets, Brylan Smith, Carter Smith, and Tristen Stewart.
