From still life drawings that explore form, texture, and shading to colorful Loteria cards inspired by students’ hobbies in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, 8th grade art students have been putting their artistic skills to work. They also sculpted and painted miniature versions of their favorite foods using air-dry clay, then added magnets for one-of-a-kind creations!

We have a State Champion! Asher Weilacher won the IESA 2A Boys State Cross Country Meet with a time of 10:11.6. We also want to congratulate the rest of the boys on their tremendous effort today. They will be escorted back into town by the Polo police between 5:00-5:10pm. Please join us in celebrating their success!!
